I think that's the thing with Geovanni, when he wants to play, you get the guy that Barcelona bought. But it doesn't take long until he loses interest.

Well, I was going to watch the Seattle/Chivas game and the NY/LA game on Saturday but due to a power outage I missed everything. Sounds like I didn't miss much with the former but I'd have liked to see the latter, oh well.

Seattle have really salvaged their season it seems. I'd like to see them continue to do well in the Champions League. (It feels odd just calling it 'the Champions League,' I feel like I should throw some sort of 'just the CONCACAF one mind' qualifier in there.

Last night, Toronto beat Cruz Azul at BMO Field, 2-1. This is the first outright win by an MLS side over and FMF one in CCL competition. Now, admittedly, Cruz Azul was, err, cruising, playing only 5 regular starters. On the other hand, giving away 3 points in group play isn't good either.

I like watching these Champions League games that take place at 5,000-capacity stadiums in Central America somewhere.

Columbus Crew are playing tonight but in Columbus, sadly. I might watch anyway.

Cruz Azul stunk. But to Toronto's credit, they pressured them constantly and took advantage of Cruz Azul's lineup. TFC was unlucky not to get out of there 3-0, they should have had a penalty in the first half, and the diving Mexicans showed up all night long and won the free kick that got Cruz Azul's goal.

Mista looked half decent, I guess he's on a 3 month contract so there's very little risk for TFC.

I'm pretty sure the Dynamo beat Pachuca at home in the CCL a few years back. We could just never win there. No MLS team has won a CCL match in Mexico.

Seattle Sounders are playing in Honduras again. Much bigger stadium this time, but it's pretty empty. Anyone else watching?

I didn't tape the LA-NY game so I have no idea how it looked.
The game lived up to the hype for me. I was glad since I flew out from LA to NY with the LA Riot Squad to watch it live.

The Red Bulls gave us(Galaxy) a few real scares but the play that really frightened me was when Henry manhandled Donovan and then schooled Birchall. I was sure they were going to score on that sequence.

Skip to minute 3 to see what I am talking about:

Unbelievable. Well not really.

We have a 2-0 and 3-1 lead against the Fire and they've just tied it up with 10 minutes to go. I'm guessing they'll go after the winner at this point.

Wow. Just wow.

Ching with a header in '84.

Houston up 4-3. Let's see if we can hold it.

That's a hat trick for Ching. Yeah, same Ching that was left at home in favor of Findley and Buddle. Yeah, I guess I understand Buddle but Findley? You're kidding me.
