Nolan Ryan was serious old school - note he's walking towards the charging Robin Ventura, got him 5 or 6 times with his right. Ryan was something like 20 years older than Ventura. Plus, Ryan didn't get ejected!

Arenado & Perdomo both got five games for kicking off the brawl last week between the Rockies and Padres.

I think Perdomo should have to serve 1 additional game for throwing his glove....but he'll be in lowlight reels for years, so that's ok.

So I gotta give Jerry DiPoto some credit. The Mariners actually have a lineup that has the potential of being one of the best in the league.

I thought signing Dee Gordon and converting him to a centerfielder was madness, but he's really taken to it and has been great.

The pitching has been a bit dodgy, but I think it will be decent. Diaz is a frightening closer for hitters.

Shame the Angels and Astros are in the same division.
