Not sure if its true but i'm hearing that there is going to be a minutes silence on Saturday for Margaret Thatcher.

Can anybody clarify this?

If true I cant begin to imagine the response at Goodison and also at the RS game

I've found this whole thing very fascinating. In the US, when a former president dies there would without a doubt be a moment of silence at the game, and people would respect it regardless of politics.

Would people really make noise if they tried to do this at Goodison?

forgetting how anyone feels politically about what she did to peoples lives her collusion as a public official in the Hillsborough cover up means a minutes silence would be an insult. if it was disrupted and booed then I doubt the rational reasons behind it would be how a chunk of the media reported . its not going to happen. Dave Whelan calling for it has tainted my feelings towards Wigan.
