I did some support work when I was at uni, when you how occupied parents of autistic children are its incredible, it really is all encompassing.Had a look through varying thread titles to find a thread that this post would sort of fit, this was the first one that worked.
Has anyone watched today’s Stick to Football featuring Paul Scholes? As odd as it sounds he was my favourite none Everton player of the premier league era, but to hear him talk about his son on that episode today was sad, but also wonderful to see what a good human being he is and how down to earth he is.
To hear him talk about taking him to Tesco on a Thursday and hear the hateful posts he received about his sons weight and to hear him say “he’s gonna eat what the F*** he wants” it showed 2 things, 1 how much of a normal down to earth guy he is but also how the world is full of hate and bully’s.I did some support work when I was at uni, when you how occupied parents of autistic children are its incredible, it really is all encompassing.
Do you know, i didn't really fully appreciate him until he dropped deep and started dictating tempo. Complete ignorance on my part as he was always classTo hear him talk about taking him to Tesco on a Thursday and hear the hateful posts he received about his sons weight and to hear him say “he’s gonna eat what the F*** he wants” it showed 2 things, 1 how much of a normal down to earth guy he is but also how the world is full of hate and bully’s.
He’s overcome that, he’s just being him and whilst I’m being nice, he’s one of the greatest opposition players I’ve seen.
As long as you're happy mate, we should be kind to ourselves more oftenJust watched Ricky Gervais at OVO, Wembley, as part of his Morality show.
Absolutely outstanding.
This was a birthday gift to myself.
I have tried to get tickets for a good few years, but managed to see him tonight.
I know he isn't everyone's cup of tea, but he is mine, and he was outstanding
