Joined a work team meeting 1pm. Meeting was scheduled for 4hrs. We were told to take the rest of the day off for some christmas shopping. Nice suprise.

Today my van went in for its first MOT since I bought it. It passed with with just an advisory on the front tyres, which I was already planning to replace.

100% completely out of the blue, totally unexpected, email sent to us all from company head office saying in recognition of the tough economic climate we're all getting £1000 paid in January.
Played our annual Christmas gig last night. Outdoors, at a bewery next to the beach in Fremantle. Place was absolutely jumping, had about 300 people that bought tickets to see a bunch of 50 odd year olds playing Britpop covers.

My son and his girlfriend been up to stay for a few days from Cardiff, he asking me why I keep walking everywhere, I said I couldn't afford a bus pass being as I lost my job but I don't mind as it keeps me fit. They left to go home last night and when I got into bed under my duvet he had left me 30 quid 
We got €500 but it’s all like gift vouchers. Would have preferred the cash obviously
