Being the first one out on a golf course this morning, I should have took photos of the truly serene and tranquil mist covered Norfolk fields before me.

My happiness didn't last long but that's neither here nor there.

It's great, isn't it.

It's a shame that lovely zen feeling of being one with nature only lasts until I hook my first tee shot in to the trees.

Yeah, used to love that, especially in the winter when it wasn't raining.
Sunday at 1st light we'd bunk to the 3rd tee on the 18 hole course at Allerton through one of the many holes in the fence on the unadopted side road, (tbh, it was more hole than fence)
It was an enjoyable happy kind of feeling to leave foot prints on the dew or frost covered 'virgin' turf...and the fact that we didn't pay.

One of my favourite golf courses is in Norfolk - Sheringham. Start off along the cliff tops.

Well worth it. I have also played Royal Cromer and Mundesley (9 holes). Always intended to play Hunstanton but never managed it.

Can recommend Thetford and King's Lynn Golf Clubs, both nice courses to play around.
