Said goodbye to a good friend tonight (she is moving to The Netherlands), we were pretty much in tears when hugging, with my partner watching which is obviously a bit odd but I am glad that is a thing we can be open about. Jealously is the worst trait and i'm just so glad its not there (yet..).

Depends if we're talking regular hovis, or cut-it-yerself bread. A thick hunk of fresh sesame-seeded white batch from the bakery, with salted butter, beats any brown bread hands down.

After much faff, I managed to make a fire basket from the drum of our old washing machine. Works a treat and looks great now it's got a bit of tarnish from the fire damage to it.

Ran out of milk last night and the 24-hr place didn't have any semi-skimmed left, so I grabbed some whole milk instead. I had genuinely forgotten how gorgeous it tastes. Fantastic stuff.

It was a sad day the day my youngest moved over to semi skimmed. Nothing better than poncing her whole milk for a midnight bowl of cornies.
