minor things that make you fume

I had exactly the same thing mate. First thing is leaks in radiators. A tiny almost invisible one can still lose all the pressure. Then it could be the pressure release valve venting when it shouldn't. (You should have a pipe going outside, if there's excessive water dripping, that's the problem. Thirdly, and the worst case scenario is the main pressure vessel in the boiler itself.
Yeah he said two of the radiators had invisible leaks so sorted them. The pipe outside wasn't dripping and he opened up the boiler and said the vessel was fine. He put a leak sealing solution in the system and said it could take a week or so to work so gonna top the pressure up as and when needed for a week and get back on to them if need be.

How old is it mate? Mine was about 15 years and I ended up topping it up every day. They told me the vessel was fine as well but they've no way of testing it properly. Also, when you top it up to full pressure, watch the pipe outside, if there's any drips. It won't drip all the time, just when it's under full pressure.

Bit of a self-fume; When will I realise that telling mrs degsy to 'shut up I'm trying to listen to the sat-nav' only makes her louder and also adding a
'calm down willya, I'm still trying etc etc' has the opposite effect.

Not sure how old it is mate but at least 5/6 years coz it was here when we moved in. Yeah he checked that pipe yesterday and said it was sound.

Just spoke to him and he said to keep topping it up over the weekend to see if the sealing solution works but if I'm still doing it Monday it'll probably mean a leak under the floorboards.

Good luck mate. Nightmare if under the floorboards. The sealing solution does work though.

There are things called reveal parties where people dress in pink or blue to guess a baby's gender. Do people have lives?

Cheers mate, I'm praying to the sealing solution gods!

Do you have a damp smell anywhere, that's normally a good starting point ?

If you're in Merseyside I know an excellent central heating engineer, who I've recommended to loads of people. He's a total anorak when it comes to central heating, but he's superb at what he does, reliable and doesn't charge the earth / try and find a way round any problem as cheaply as he can.

No damp smells (that I'm aware of!) but yeah mate I'm in Orrell Park so if the BG fella offers no solution come Monday I'll get his number off you.
