minor things that make you fume

Taxi drivers are a law unto themselves. Undertaking is a big issue though. On my drive home I regularly crap my pants as cyclists undertake me as I'm about to turn left. I'm fed up of it now, so I just drive about a foot away from the kerb so that they overtake me in the correct manner instead. Some of them don't like it and swear at me as a result but eff em. I don't want my car to be the thing one of these idiots collides with.
This is an interesting point. We've had several discussions on here about undertaking but they have, to my recollection, concentrated exclusively upon cars undertaking other traffic. Those against it seemd to primarily highlight the danger aspect.... presumably the same stands true when it's cyclists doing it?

At the risk of sounding like a massive hypocrite, I regularly undertake other cars on my drive to work. I'm not sitting in the outside lane of a 3 lane road doing 40mph in a 50mph zone because of one selfish idiot.

I don't actually know what the law is for bicycles. Cyclists stick to the kerb (is that a law, or just the norm?), so if the traffic suddenly slows down or stops, are cyclists expected to stop as well? If they continue to cycle, are they deemed to be undertaking, in the same way a car would? Is it fair to expect cyclists to have to around the right of a car to overtake?

Motorbikes weave their way through traffic all the time but I don’t see anyone complaining about that.

And behind you, there is probably a car driver complaining about the cyclist not staying in the cycle lane

Nothing wrong with undertaking. In fact it is a neccessity in most Australian cities due to the poor driving standards.

If it's a cycle lane, no problem. Just be aware of vehicles indicating and don't have a hissy fit when you see a vehicle wanting to turn left.

It's illegal in the UK though. Although so is hogging the overtaking lanes.

In Perth, they changed the law a few years back so that you only have to stay left if the speed limit is 90 or above. So rather than educating/punishing, they decide to change the law to suit selfish idiots. Crazy.

People writing, "there" or their" when it should be "they're".

And there/their, while I'm at it.

And "your", when it should be "you're".

Dullards calling someone, "hun". Even blokes do it to some woman they know on FB or from work etc. Jesus H Christ.

Correct and Correct lids

1) There's no such thing as road tax. Many cars pay zero emissions duty so that's that point dead in the water.
2) I cycle every day, and have just started cycling through central London twice a day too. The cyclists are the least of the problems, the drivers are just appalling. Especially the taxis, who will just carve across lanes and stop on double yellows (or right over a cycle lane) without indicating.

No-one on the roads is perfect (does anyone drive like they did in their lessons?) but drivers need to remember that if they collide with a bicycle, there's only one winner. Yet it continues to happen, day after day.
Only seeing this now. Gonna have my dinner then return to fume about your nonsense post if that's alright with you mate

Did you know the 'H' in 'Jesus H Christ' stands for HUN?

Same bird pronounces Ireland"island"!

It shouldn't make you fume, but it should provoke your 'ire'.

And you all leave Carol alone btw - I rise to her most mornings! :D

When you buy sparkling water by accident... then wonder why you even had the impulse to purchase a bottle of life's greatest commodity in the first place.
