His body was recovered from the Atlantic days after the disaster and among his possessions was an 18 carat gold Jules Jurgensen pocket watch.
The watch, which had remained in the family of Mr and Mrs Straus, was sold at Henry Aldridge and Son Auctioneers in Devizes, Wiltshire, on Saturday.
It was returned to his family and was passed down through generations before Kenneth Hollister Straus, Isidor's great-grandson, had the movement repaired and restored.

Wouldn't wish it on anyone, hope he's overcome it etc. The sooner a national policy on screening and the at risk groups are prioritised and the whole policy is rolled out then families can avoid the heartache and loss that specifically prostate cancer is causing.

Waiting in for a parcel with "estimated" delivery time between 08.50 and 12.50. It's now 14.55 and it's still not arrived. The sunniest day for weeks and I couldn't go out and make the most of it. Rang the delivery company (FedEx) and the automated assistant promises delivery by 10.00 o'clock tonight! When buying anything else online will check who they are using for delivery and avoid any seller employing this bunch of clowns.
Update: Parcel arrived 15.05, no explanation, no apology
