Putting my hands in cold water to take out the night before's dirty dishes

My missus lets the dirty dishes build up in the sink until it looks like a students kitchen, safe in the knowledge that eventually it will annoy me enough that I'll clean them all.

Was asked to go collect a sofa for a mate as I have a van, fair do's I will be right there. Got there to be greeted by a three story town house with the sofa being on the top floor and a huge corner sofa so two pieces. The stairs all wound down one side of the building so corners galore on the stairs and the worst half an hour of my life ensued.
