I did something similar once when I was a barman. Caught my shirt sleeve on a bannister rail as I was walking down with about £100 worth of drinks. It was carnage. Mortifying.

I fully apologise for doing this but I have good reason, I wear a baseball cap to keep crap like sawdust, spiderwebs from getting in my hair while I'm working around the house/basement/garage and I started to wear them backwards as the peak stops me seeing things about head height and I've brained myself way too many times.
