minor things that make you fume

Had to have a wisdom tooth out the other day. It was wobbly anyway. In and out in 15mins. Went to pay and she said £78 then she said "oh wait, you're in our happy face or smiles club" whatever its called. £20.00 per month,2 check ups ,2 hygienist therefore its £196!
Wtf robbing gets ..@davek had a similar situation but he asked for a wisdom tooth to be put in

Will happily vote for any party in the next General Election that will push through a mandatory speed limit for people walking, at the Ice Cream Farm in Cheshire today and the amount of delirious nobjockeys shuffling around at 3mph made me want to just start picking folk at random and volleying them.

Amazes me how some people are literally oversized snails.
Out of interest, at what speed do you expect people to walk?

Especially on a blistering day.

When you and another person are walking towards one another, and you move over to one side and they move to the exact same side, then you both move back the other way.

I did that one time not too long ago. Hotel corridor, heading towards my room and this angry looking SOB walking towards me, neither of us backing down. It was only when we were toe to toe I realised that it was a hall mirror.

A big deal being made about youth unemployment.

2008 financial crash killed a load of pensions.
Generation of women's pensions removed.
brexit harm.
covid harm.
covid fall out, schooling lost, university holiday cancelled.
Ukraine invasion energy pricing issue.
Murder of the high street (cafe's, restaurants, clothes shops, etc - casual work - Saturday job type stuff, pubs and bars closed)
People have hung on at work, they're frightened, why retire and sit through freezing winters?
The current shambles have kicked employers square in the throat, increased ni and minimum wage, it's cheaper to take no one on and squeeze the staff you have (they won't quit, they're petrified!). The bankers, austerity, brexit, covid, Ukraine, energy, and tax deals (amazon, starbucks etc) siphoning cash out of the country all has to be spoken for. The pigeons have come home to roost.

the ai doom cloud could be the next final nail in the coffin.

In the pub last night at 11pm when two labradoodles started barking like crazy. Killed the mood and people left. Pubs are struggling as it is ffs.
