minor things that make you fume

My impression of radio 4 just took a further dive.

One highlight used to be the News Quiz on a Friday evening ... erudite incisive and genuinely funny satire with genuine laughter from an audience.

I've not listened for a while but put it on this evening to find its now full of what sounds like 16 year olds saying things they think are funny and laughing hilariously at their own jokes - much louded than the audience. Undoubtedly some positive discrimination ticks have been done, but I'd really rather quality reign over diversity.

Does everything have to get worse?

I've noticed that over the years too.

Its almost as if its been pre-agreed that they will all laugh at each others jokes and comments regardless.

The Last Leg springs to mind whenever I infrequently watch it. (not lol)

I like the last leg but its not always as funny as they think- and I am put off it by the constant laughing at their own jokes stuff. Its one thing when a comedian joins in with the laughter but amateurish when they lead the audience like they often do in the last leg.
