I hate them. They are difficult to kill so it's best to resort to such devices:
You just need something net-like, a black plastic ball, and something like an inverted bottle. It's easy to make yourself. They are attracted to the black ball (they are attracted to dark colours and heat; hence you use a black ball). They sit on it. Try to fly up, end up in the bottle. They get stuck, they die. During the summer; you'll easily get half a bottle/day.
