Steve Wigan
Player Valuation: £35m
That was always going to be a difficult game. No one likes to play at Millwall, particularly in conditions like today. Given the form we are in,and the fact that some players are jaded, the result was always going to be a lottery. Millwall are not very good, but they were bound to be right up for it today because of all the games in the round, this always looked like it could be an 'upset'. Silva has a lot to learn about the Premiership, and in my opinion he has to have a good run in the league for the rest of the season to save his job. I think Mosh is desperate for success, but doesn't have unlimited finance. If we can get to seventh, or even 8th, Silva may survive, because the question whether Mosh will release transfer funds to him and Brands in the summer. If the answer to that is no,Silva is gone. Posters may disagree, but I thought we put a lot of effort in to todays game, which was never going to be won by superior skills, which we had in abundance. We can all have ideas as to what we would have done differenty...personally I thought Bernard should have been first on the team sheet but no matter, in those conditions it was always going to be a lottery, and as well as playing poorly at present, we are not having much luck. Get all the knee jerking out of the way over the weekend and then we move on...we are Everton and there are football matches to play and win.COYB.
