Every game , zonal marking dont work.
Call me old fashioned but its got to be big on big and stick with your man.
No full backs on the posts , as the ball drops around 6 to 8 yrds out , all our defenders are facing their own goal and oposing players with a full goal and only Pickford to beat.
It really is schoolboy stuff....Sick of it.

Some teams do zonally mark and it works. We just can’t, and that’s down to management.

Us fans should all get compensation for what we are having to put up with, they give us high hopes with signing etc, then subject us to this. You wouldn't wish the feeling it gives us on your worst enemy. Only thing that will lighten up my love for Everton is Silva going, he just hasn't a clue, we are very good at finding them managers.

Wing back formation, we looked more of an attacking threat, this 4231 formation has been the death of us for 5 god damn years and yet somehow it's an edict for managers to have to play despite the man who introduced it being long gone from the club

Sigurdsson. Despite being utterly anonymous and being detrimental to our play which means we struggled to create anything because the fella we rely on for them type of passes hides away for most of the game.

He gets the assist, just as he got a goal last game, but he is quite clearly a big part of our problems and why we struggle to pass it about comfortably.

That goal would have still been scored if Tosun had come on for Siggy and we'd have gone two up top. His presence in the starting eleven, specifically in that role, can no longer be accomodated.
