Oh good. Generational warfare, then.

What happy times we live in. I suspect we'd all be better served by addressing humans as individuals, not groups.

Except for Kopites, of course.
Stop being reasonable. Generational warfare is a time-honored tradition in which old people shake sticks at the younger generation because things change and they begin feel the icy grip of death stalking their every move.

Personally, I look forward to being a crotchety old man to the point that I am actively cultivating it at far too young of an age.

In truth, give millennials time - all generations appear vapid and ignorant when they're teenagers - because teenagers are vapid and ignorant. Millennials actually have a lot going for them on the social and environmental awareness levels. And considering the absolutely monstrous political and economic situation they've been thrust into, they're doing just fine.

No matter how much I happen to agree that their choices of media consumption and need for constant attention/connection are both confounding and insane. It appears to me, the more connected we become, the more isolated we are, and I think that's the real danger for millennials possibly turning out to be a terrible generation.

Let's face it they're not jeans, they all wear leggings.

Some of the fitter birds, this is a wonderful thing.

I'm just slightly older than the millennials and they've been dealt a rough hand. Not enough jobs, difficult if not impossible to own a home, plus greedy selfish Boomers voting for absolute cretins, refusing to pay for anything, trashing the planet beyond recognition, and then having the cheek to call millennials lazy and entitled.

Smarter? Ask them to do long division without a calculator or write an essay without spell-check. Most of them wouldn't know the proper use of punctuation if their lives depended on it. They get their "smarts" from things like Facebook and Twitter, which are about as deep as piss on a plate.
Why would you do long division when you can use a calculator, though? When would you ever have to do that in the real world?

Why would you write an essay without spellcheck when the technology is right in front of you and there to help you? It saves you a lot of time and potential embarrassment.

I'm a 'millennial' and make the effort to use correct grammar and punctuation even if it's just a quick text to my friend's. I may not get it right 100% of the time, though.

You've made some rather sweeping statements there mate. If anyone looks as deep as piss here it isn't me.

Pipe down, you whippersnapper. :D

95% of people in here don't even know what age bracket it is judging by the comments. Most of you are describing 15 year olds not 30 year olds.

From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millennials

There are no precise dates for when this cohort starts or ends; demographers and researchers typically use the early 1980s as starting birth years and the mid-1990s to early 2000s as ending birth years

So, pretty much 15 to 35 year olds.

Or, to use Mr Mezzrow's words ...

Pipe down, you whippersnapper. :D

The millenials are generally self absorbed hipster tits.
Luckily you're old enough to know better.

By which you mean he isn't a hipster.

Bungle's hips have a large amount of lard covering them mate. I'm not totally sure what the definition of a hipster is, but I suspect said lard rules him out.
