In a way it is. If Man City came in with a big money bid i doubt we would reject it.

terrible way of looking at it, now hes injured we wont lose him, i'd rather lose the guy, get 15 million and see him doing what he does best and play football

not on crutches watching his team from the stand

but oh well, least we've got him for 6 months

I must admit that I too went into cry baby mode after the match probably because id had five pints of Stella and was feeling emotional . BUT after giving it a days thought I now think we can rally again as only we can . I think we finally have a squad of players who dont give two fcuks for bad luck . Yes Arteta is absolutely massive for us BUT for me Cahill is easily our most effective player in terms of getting goals and deciding matches at crucial times . If it had been King Tim Cahill I would have topped myself . FACT.

On the plus side we have Saha bk raring to go . We have Pienaar coming back . Two young gems begging to find their footing . Jo with everything to prove . CAHILL coming bk . Our defence is rock soild !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on you blues !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lets get behind the team like never before . If we win the cup its for Mikel Arteta . What bettr incentive is there ?

Fernandes could have been a great permanent signing. The game against Arsenal (first loan period 2007?) .... turned several Arsenal players two or three times and finished with an excellent delivery And the goal against manure, FANTASTIC. Think he just needed a pre-season with Moyes to drill some work ethic and discipline into him. Shame they couldn’t to a deal.

Who? Is the circus back in town?

Im not saying "yay he's injured". Merely pointing out that he wont be leaving.

If there is an big money offer then its Cahill or Mikel that will walk . All the Evertonians who it seems delude themselves by thinking that " Theyll never leave as they love the club " are only fooling themselves . Of course if someone offers enough they will go . Money talks plain and simple and in the climate more than ever .

I hope this doesn't affect Arteta's chances for spain :dodgy:

I'm more worried about the impact of the injury on his long term fitness. I'm looking at Owen and Jonny Wilkinson who have never recaptured their glory after injuries like this. Same thing happened to Colin Bell at Man City - never the same player again.

Really hope that Mikel comes back strong and well - he played through pain for us last season and deserves to recover from this setback.

Good luck under the surgeon in Spain, Mikky.
