He's getting linked with all sorts of management positions including ours and Arsenal's. He's only been coaching since he signed on as an assistant coach to Pep Guardiola in 2016. At the time it was widely believed he was brought on to offer Guardiola some insights into the workings of the Premier League as he had only just retired the year before.
How did Arteta develop such a name for himself to be linked with jobs of this level when he has zero management experience outside of being a coach at City?
Have I missed something? I've been seeing his name in the papers more these days than I ever did when he was playing for Arsenal or us.
Can someone explain how he is not just Ryan Giggs mk2? He seems to be getting a lot more respect off of the press and as far as I can tell neither of them has achieved too much as a coach before being linked with big jobs.
Would you feel happy if he walked into the Everton job after 2 years of laying out Guardiola's cones?
