I read about the issues with the club and the agent last week. Apparently the club are not happy that the players agent has been calling up clubs and telling them that the player has a release clause, believed to be between £7m and £8m. The club seem to think this is wrong. I kind of think if you put that clause into a contract, surely you must be prepared for someone to match it?!
