Transfer Rumour Michy Batshuayi

That's half of our outfield players you've mentioned there, not one of them preforming at a constant top level, Digne coming closest, probably at the moment he's our only top class player. Batty is a huge upgrade on what we have up front, 15-20 million would be damn fine business. If we want a major upgrade then it will have to be a 65+ million player and that ain't happening in January.

Honestly I see no reason whatsoever that Chelsea would sell him for 14m.

It 100% will not be 14m.
Yep. There is a premium when signing average players from the top 6 clubs, just look at the likes Solanke. No way a player like that with minimal first team experience goes for 20m and Batshuayi who has plenty of goals and games under his belt goes for less.

It seems a cheap fee in relative terms but I'm not convinced by him. I'm not sure he has the hunger of a player who needs to do a lot of work to get anywhere near the potential he had a few years ago.

He would be an upgrade on the three amigos but that doesn't say much at all. If he was brought in as a short-term fix it wouldn't say much for Brands' planning.

If we are expected to be patient then I'd prefer to put what money is available into someone better.

We couldn’t afford his wages. His attitude is suspect and his career has stalled.
I would rather we found a player whose career is on the rise than one on a downward trend, however promising he once appeared.
We aren’t signing anyone anyway. (Probably)

Was good in France. Made the move to Chelsea and it hasn't worked out. Too big of a move too soon. Would rather continue with Richarlison up top than get this guy.

This is the position they have to get right and I'd rather wait until summer then spunk money on a band aid player.

Can turn defenders, that makes him better than Tosun and DCL. Has had an eye for goal in the past, I think it’s a no brainer. Fingers crossed we get him in before Sunday, so we can write him off before the end of this week.

14m is a low risk and he scored the goal that last won Chelsea the league. Which was also a goal of no quality but shows he will be in the right place at the right time. We need a poacher because the amount of times the ball has gone through the 6 yard box and Lewin and Walcott have been stood still is ridiculous. If it works we get a return on the investment if not short term probably is good at the price for this day in age

Did I miss anything...breaking news sky banner showing just now that we are interested in Michy but only on permanent deal...but it can only be a permanent deal...right?
