I understand that the club is a mess and Dyche can only do so much, but Keane, Young, Holgate, Coleman, and Gueye should be nowhere near Everton Football Club in 2024 if we are remotely serious as a club. There are others who should also be moved on, but there is no excuse to keep hold of three old men and two proven failures, even less to play the majority of them in our opening match.
It's not like money has not been spent and new players have not been bought. What was the worst that could have happened yesterday had he played the new boys instead? A similar resounding defeat? But at least those players would have had the crowd on side and would have earned this vaunted PL experience Dyche seems to put such store in.
