Keano Keano, been watching some of Burnley lately and it’s dawned on me that their clean sheets last season and this, are a lot more down to Mee than they were you.
Or how Burnley set up. We try and get higher up the pitch but I'm not sure e Williams or current day Jagielka are suited to anything other than sitting deep with a midfield denying space in front of them. Burnley haven't changed their system.
Again, for me, this is a transfer policy / due diligence issue. Koeman proudly stated last season that he and walsh worked together to discuss targets, systems, and tactics. So im left scratching my head at why we've sigbed players with no obvious clear plan.
Moyes had Weir and Stubbs so he set the team up to not expose them. Once Yobo, Jagielka and Lescott were on board we pushed 30 yrs further up the pitch (except against top 4 teams) a lot more. I.e. players who could handle that.
