Decent again today. No defender has a perfect game so its easy to see flaws if you want to.

Unfortunately he has a fundamental flaw of being slow of foot.

Very good there. Haven't had enough chances to say that this season.

Some very easily pleased people on here. Was lucky not to be sent off because as soon as somebody runs at/near him he loses control of his legs and brain.

Did well just winning headers and blocking stuff to be fair, but still showed his limitations even in one of his best games.

Was okay until Newcastle started actually trying to score and then turned back to his normal crap self

Was very good until the last ten minutes when he helped let them build pressure by not clearing his lines and then was fortunate not to be sent off.

Keane played quite well but Schneids beat him to MOM. We deteriorated once Schneids went off injured.

So Keane requires the right partner for him to be effective

Gylfi requires the right wingers and strikers to be effective

We bought duds, we have a £60k right back who came from the Irish pub league who doesn’t require anyone to be effective because he plays with passion and desire

..but it is about buying a team with a system/strategy in place and acquiring players who compliment each other. We appear to just buy players.

Played well and looked like a defender which was weird. Still at the end a coulle of times he needed to put the ball in row z instead of reverting back to his confused play.

Can he be a top defender? I have my doubts but hopefully he gets rid of silly mistakes and decision making. Im concerned he possiblly smokes hashish as he looks like floppy man sometimes.

However he played well last night so hopefully it can contunue.

I agree and we have one bald PE teacher to thanks for that; he bought the 2 players I mentioned on pure statistical basis rather than looking at what they offer to a team

Started the season well, ending it well. Ignore the 30 games in the middle.

Not sure hes a great fan of any sort of pressure, on two occasions directly heading the ball out of play whilst being chased by some garbage Geordie.

Seems to be fine if the team is settled and were playing any sort of continuous football

I don’t think he did play well. Did just about the bare minimum. He almost got done by the sort of body swerve you’d see on a school playground from Slimani at one point. His distribution is atrocious.
