Nice to see an Everton player having a good few games. I hope it continues.

Branthwaite will come straight back in for Keane and everyone around him will immediately look ten times the player, as they always do.

Is that because Branthwaite makes them look/play better or because Keane has a negative effect on the team?

Branthwaite brings a calmness to the team, his presence increases the confidence around him on its own.

Is it fair on keane to bring him straight back in, its a tough one cos keane's growing confidence will take a big hit again.

Keane does seem more composed as a left sided CB and might feel more pressured/exposed next to O'Brien.

Glad its not my decision as keane has done exactly what you'd want out of a defender this season, and if we didnt have past notions on the player, maybe the conversation would be different..

i think there’s a bit of a paradox with Keane

been in really good form in terms of blocks and tackles etc but the team is struggling defensively because we have to sit deep because of him. and whilst he can ping a long ball hes not comfortable with passing it short, especially not from the left side

will be harsh but he get’s dropped for jarrad as soon as hes fit

tarkowski is faster and better with the ball at his feet, not in as good form but he’ll improve with Branthwaite next to him

It's simply showing that we cant sign centre backs that limit our back four from pushing higher up the pitch.

Him and Pickford kept us in the game. Think he's swayed me over in keeping him over Tarkowski once Branthwaite comes back.
