Branthwaite will come straight back in for Keane and everyone around him will immediately look ten times the player, as they always do.

Is that because Branthwaite makes them look/play better or because Keane has a negative effect on the team?

Keane's been a lot more composed than Tarkowski.

This is maybe one thing Moyes has git right in the last few weeks. He seems to have put a lot of confidence back into Keane.

i think there’s a bit of a paradox with Keane

been in really good form in terms of blocks and tackles etc but the team is struggling defensively because we have to sit deep because of him. and whilst he can ping a long ball hes not comfortable with passing it short, especially not from the left side

will be harsh but he get’s dropped for jarrad as soon as hes fit

tarkowski is faster and better with the ball at his feet, not in as good form but he’ll improve with Branthwaite next to him

Yep and Branthwaite can cover the spaces that other will leave behind too, which Keane struggles with.

I suspect Tarkowski's form improves when he no longer has to baby sit Keane for 90 minutes too

Useful in a relegation battle because he’ll throw his body in the way of anything, but the moment you progress past that and actually start to have the football for any prolonged period of time, he becomes a liability. I’ve said it til I’m blue in the face for years but there’s a reason he’s never played for anything above relegation scrapping basket cases at the age of 33.
