Big chance for Keane this season. Hopefully him and Tarky can establish an understanding fast. On his day is unplayable and gets too much stick for the oggys. A lot of them he has to do something and it is hard lines. Come on Keane!

Keane is ok, in fact decent when not paired with no marks. However with 27 centre backs on the books his game time may be limited.

I reckon he'll be starting most games. If we are playing a back 3, it'll be Keane, Tarkowski and Godfrey (Mina) unless we sign Coady and I can see it being Tarkowski, Coady and Keane. Mina cannot be relied upon and Godfrey hasn't looked up to it at CB in the preseason games.

He’s the reason Lampard is desperately signing centre backs.

In all seriousness - he has no place in this team if we are going to improve. A below average centre back, prone to dreadful errors and seemingly severely lacking in confidence and leadership skills.

He was absolutely awful last season, from his ridiculous dawdling on the ball v soton in our first game onwards.

I’d be more than happy to see him replaced by coady.
