Thought Keane is getting much better but still think he has a clumsy mistake in him. Part of me still thinks Mina / Zouma combination is the best we have though

Is showing his worth now. Will have to carry on learning how to read the game to help with his lack of pace. Liverpool threw quite a few long balls our way trying to expose the lack of pace with the CB's and it nearly worked a couple of times but because our line wasn't too high we were able to recover just in time. Keane and Mina look a good competent partnership but without pace. Think Zouma could also slot alongside any of them when that pace is required against certain teams. It is a dilemma but a good dilemma and if Zouma said he wants to sign for us then I honestly couldn't pick the CB pairing and opt for 3 at the back. Good place to be in with 3 good CB's

I honestly thought of there would be one game we would struggle for pace it would be against the RS due to their quick and nimble forward line.

We piped then right down and all they resorted to were long punts forward hoping to get it over the back line and for about 90% of the match we gobbled it up. If we can cope against them we can cope against the majority except City I would say where they have the ability to carve open most teams

Ive been very impressed with Keane and Mina, fair play to Keane though who is really putting in some solid performances

Mina is the star turn at centre back...Keane not that level...not sure if Zouma is the answer either.

I wonder if Brands may be looking for a CB partner for Mina.

Untroubled all game, he was excellent. I still have concerns with Yerry being very slow and needing someone like Zouma to partner him, but you can't drop Keane. And that was the paciest attack we'll play and they conceded nothing v them, so some fears were eradicated there.
Keane is faster than Zouma.

...I think Mina is looking very decent and i’m convinced he and Zouma are our best combination. I’m sure that’s what Silva had in mind. Keane has done very well, I think that’s lots to do with having quality alongside.

Bobby Moore had the pace of a highly tuned racing slug, but he was a superb defender, pace isn’t everything lads, a good brain and positional nous will cover any cracks! Keane is proving to be our best defender this season, anyone saying he has a mistake in him is correct, but lets be fair, so do Mina and Zouma?
