I'm not convinced we where ever that interested to be honest, I think it's was media speculation more than anything. Moyes mentioned the American players he'd tried to sign in the past, the likes of Jozy Altidore and Clint Dempsey where both mentioned alongside the obvious players like McBride, Howard and Donovan. There was no mention of Bradley.

The kicker for me is that he'd have to unseat Fellaini and then Heitinga at the DM spot and I just don't see him doing that, as good as he is.

Would he be a good squad player for us? Yeah, sure he would.

But we have other pressing needs and financial obligations which surely take precedent over a player like Bradley.

Which is why it doesn't make sense until/unless fellaini is sold to madrid for 45mil(y) And by then he should have improved more. So not one for today, but wouldn't count him out for future. He's a coach's dream, tireless work ethic, fighter, & very young still. One to keep a 3rd eye on over next couple seasons.

Bradley - to Americans - fits almost too neatly into a stereotype we all know - the hyperaggressive, hyperenthusiastic, psychotically hard working, gym rat, coach's kid. He may not be the most talented player out there, but he will absolutely be the most dedicated to learning, studying the game, working his ass off to push himself to the highest possible potential, live and die for the shirt, give you absolutely everything he has and ask for more.

I know about 4 of these guys, in various sports. Sometimes, his physical gifts won't take him beyond the Sunday pub leagues. In the U.S., in his adulthood, he's probably a coach at the local pay-to-play youth club, a fervent poster on BigSoccer, and has allegiances to clubs in each of the Big 4 leagues.

However, if you couple that approach to life with the physical gifts to play at a high level, you have a man you hate to play against and love to have in your club. Bradley not only has Premiership-level skills as a holding midfielder, he'll play as a hard man. [Poor language removed] with his'n, he'll [Poor language removed] with yours. His temper has gotten away from him a couple times - the Dutch friendly, in particular - but it seems he's gotten that settled down.

That may not be what Everton needs, but I'd rate him Everton-level quality for sure.

By the way, great post. You got across what I've been trying to convey but couldn't quite figure out how to accomlish. Rep on the way as soon as I get it sorted. Can't seem to get working via mobile pbone, too busy to get to pc. But be patient, I'm figuring it all out.

Not sure Everton needs him, but, have to say that he is probably underrated in the US because he is the coaches son, and he rarely leaves the field. Americans have a hard time figuring out whether it is neopotism, or talent since he plays overseas and no one really watches the team that he plays for. He does play both ways, defense and offense and has scored in games for the national side. He also is the American prototype national team player in that he plays his heart out and will run all game long. Bottom line for me, is that I fall into the camp where I wanted to see more midfielders other than Clark or Fieilhaber give him a run for his money in making the national team. i wanted to see more of Torres, and wondered why? With the coaches kid on the field one has to wonder, if he is that good, or was there something else going on. I hope that BB is right in starting his son over all comers, and that he is that good. My choice for Everton is LD. I hope he comes over and plays, he is in my mind that good.

I also think, that if Buddle, Altidore and Findlay do themselves proud, then they are a trio that deserve a look. Buddle and Findlay are new and are incredibily fast, especially Findlay. But one forward I had to say WOW was that young kid from the Netherlands, all of 19 or so.........He was a game changer, that one.

Bradley Jr. is the best Central Midfielder we have.. He is damn good and he wears his heart on his sleeve.. Even if Bradley Sr. was'nt coach, Bradley Jr. is a fixed starter for me..

p.s. I'm on the Torres bandwagon as his partner though..

I have seen him quite often for Borussia Moenchengladbach and he usually puts forth a good performance there as well.

I like Torres, and not so much Clark. I think that Torres opens up the field more, but then I am not a tactician, and while BB is not my favorite, he does his homework and is. I just think that he comes in too late with his subs.

Not normally, I think he def. did in the England game.. Caught in the moment I guess..

He keeps faith in his starting players and alot of the time it has paid off. One example of this is sticking with Dempsey in the CC match with Egypt. For 80 minutes Dempsey was shockingly bad and should have been subbed but in the end he got the goal that took us into the Semis.

I don't think Torres is starting today either however he'll come on in the in the 2nd half if we are tied/losing. I like Torres better but starting Clark again might be the wise choise. Getting goals isn't this team's problem with or without Torres (we should also have the majority of possession without Torres today as well), its the defense that is still a bit shaky and unsettled.

Would like to see Buddle or Gomez over Findley today as Slovenia won't bring up the LB and RB on the attack in the 1st half like England did so his speed will be neutralized. If Slovenia is tied/losing in the 2nd half they are going to press as they need a W as bad if not more than we do. That's when you put on Findley.

I cant see him going to Blackpool to be honest, certainly not on loan, if he was going to leave borussia monchengladbach I could only see him going somewhere perm, with a decent fee involved, so that would rule out Blackpool.

I wouldnt mind this lad he looks good and I think we need more options in the tacking midfield area, Phil Neville isnt getting any younger.

I rate Bradley, but I don't think we need another CM. Especially not when we have at least 3 or so who are better than him.

Landon please :P

LOL, typical goal.com nonsense. For one, even though I kind of like Blackpool, Bradley can do better whether its in England or the Bundesliga. Two, they want him on loan? LOL, I'm sure they do. The fact that he's a regular starter for Monchengladbach makes me think they might not be willing to loan him out for the year
