i could counter that with SWP who has become a better player for us since his return - he might not get the goals he did first time round but his alround game is much better.

duncan ferguson ? he was better second time round wasnt he ?

Very true mate, he looks on top form since the season started!

Not for me - though Dunc is a legend and was always a cult figure at Everton - his first stint was his best for me, at time he was unplayable, he carried the team really and was our only bright spark in to many years of dross. Injuries had caught up with him by the time he came back. That said he still made a very good contribution when he played (and wasnt sent of) and was an Evertonian through and through and an established hero to his us all. We did have some great moments in his second stint none so more then this when we were looking to pip the Norwegians for 4th. Youl enjoy this mate:

Whoa there MG...bit harsh mate. Michael seriously crocked his knee fighting for the shirt and that was the club's fault, not his. His family are a great bunch of Blues too from what I hear from those who talk to his father on a semi-regular basis.

Being a great guy with a nice family kinda means feck all to me. I just work on talent. And he has little.

Didn't he have an op earlier this year & so is out untill late this year, or maybe even early next? I doubt we would now need him for cover. As I recall he was a talented player whose career was wrecked by injury, seemingly at least in part as a result of his commitment to Everton outweighing concerns for his own well-being.

If I remember right, he had more knee surgery around January and is supposed to be out for around a year. And yeah, the club were giving him injections to keep playing when he should've been resting or having surgery. Then there was the money hassle with Rangers once he'd moved on where they weren't playing him because of a clause that kicked in after so many games played. He's been through a lot in his career. He attended Lilleshall and all that early on...I guess MG thinks he's garbage but the fact that he went through all that crap and still played with Rangers, PSV and City is a credit to his determination. I say good luck to him...maybe we'll see him back one day coaching the kids or something, if he'd have it.
