Guarantee Rotherham is expecting TFG to stump up the cash, hence the lack of any actual infrastructure ever being planned. The council know that we have a world class stadium but 3rd rate travel to get there. Its a disgrace tbf.

It was always meant to be a phone-in. The clip you've seen would be one they took during the phone-in for them to post on their socials.

just cut people off before he could get grilled, they also left out asking him how Burnham is doing all the prep in advance for Manchester United for transport etc. his arguent around the new station was pretty much let me build 10 k houses first then we will see.

He didn't come across well yesterday. I give him some slack about the lack of planning, I do reckon the club's ownership, loss of Usmanov's money and real possibility of going under did make things hard to plan for.

That said, his response that Sandhills will only be busy on match days shows a staggering lack of ambition on his part. Surely BMD is seen as a catalyst for the development of that whole area.

Personally I think the mayor should be someone from outside the city with no allegiance to any of the football teams in it. He knows he can secure votes from the reds in the city by sabotaging us, it’s a bit pathetic and childish really but it’s how people think.

I can’t ever recall there being an election for him, or maybe we just don’t bother promoting it as Labour will win it no matter who that put forward.

I'd actually respect him more if he just said, "I'm not using our budget on this, I'm instead using it on x,y,z but if the club or sponsors front the cash then we'll approve it".
