Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

@Barnfred 55 hope you are doing ok mate.

@anjelikaferrett - Waynetta Slob , yeah I remember that character and times , happy happy days.

@Gwladysover , have a wonderful trip to York - wonderful city , bet the grandkids love walking along the City wall.

yep , a bit cloudy here but should brighten up.

Y'all be pleased to know I didn't check the tansfer news every hours - yes managed to drag it out to every 2 hours ! That's progress right ? I feel like a junkie being weaned off drugs.

Have a lovely day.
I'm ok mate. Preparing for the cruise and following our transfer news taking my mind off things.

Thanks for the kind words guys. My eldest sister called earlier. Apparently my niece got a call yesterday and was able to get a flight home and spend the last few hours with her which was nice. I messaged her earlier and she got back to me straight away which is a good sign. It's still sinking in and I know the feeling well. Although her daughter has been fighting cancer for a while and twice over the last 2 years she has been warned to expect the worse, she was actually doing well before my niece went on holiday. So it's still come as a bit of a shock to the system.
Really sorry to hear your sad news Fred.

Morning all. Beautiful day down here today which has put a bit of a smile back my face. Been posting in the Everton forum this morning too so must have got a bit of my mojo back. lol Frustrating that we're still to bring a striker in though but a few names being bandied about that I quite like the look of, and also we seem to be moving on some to make way for new signings and get some hefty costs off the wage bill. All in all, I'm still hopeful that we'll finish the window with a better and more balanced squad than we started it.

Did a bit of a shop yesterday. Didn't need much as it's under a week now til the cruise, but just stocked up on some salad stuff. So having a prawn salad for lunch which I'll eat sat out in the sun and, whisper it quietly, I'm proposing to have that barbie later on. Nothing fancy, just a burger and some sausages.

Have a good day all and enjoy York H. Nothing cheap there so hope you have your credit card with you.lol

I’ve decided after nearly 8 years on this site to actually start utilising the ‘ignore member’ function. (No one in here ;) )
Other than a few blue banners around the place, my GOT browsing experience has improved drastically.

Such calm. Much tranquility. I recommend.

Hi guys. What a day. Loads of IT issues in work. Couldn't generate any letters, couldn't load up documents. A completely wasted and very frustrating day. Just got back from the gym which has actually taken away all my annoyances. Ready for tea now - pasta and meatballs.

A question for the gardeners amongst you. I planted some chilies earlier in the year. I actually have chilies on them. However said chilies are a very fetching shade of purple - like aubergines. Is this normal?

At one stage I had around 90 on ignore. Usually people who were excessively negative, especially to our younger players. But reading threads became impossible. New Years eve 18 months ago I removed them all and I only have 1 now who's an argumentative bugger. I just don't go into threads where I think there will be aggro. Works for me.

No idea Anj. Might be the variety or maybe they haven't ripened yet and will change colour. Did you keep the card that came with them.

No. They ate only small at the moment si maybe they do turn red. They started off green but are now purple!
I think the green is unripe and after that they will be OK but hold on for a day as we are having a chili specialist for a barbie tomorrow and I will ask for you ,any info on variety or whatever would help me .
