Good morning all on another flaming sunny day here in Hyvinkää.I hope all slept well and a fine day awaits .We are off fishing in the a lake just out of sight from our house ,a local guy had offered to take us out in his boat but eye problems have caused him to decline but still lend us the boat .
He has an electric motor as no petrol motors are allowed ,sadly he won't bring that as he says there are some shallow or rocky places that are hard to see so it is rowing we will go .
We are hoping to catch pike ,perch or pike-perch .All are eaten here and provide a fine meal. COYB

Morning all, clear blue sky here and a hot day forecast. Not sure what we’re doing today, just get grandson to school, hopefully a bit easier in his mind and then see where the tide takes us. Enjoy your fishing trip @blue1948 Mr G is quite envious he used to enjoy fishing in his youth, a long time ago but he can just about remember it. lol Hope you are having a great time @Armaghtoffee and have a good day everyone.?

its a lovely area early morning and evening, this time of year. basically, when's not too hot lol. a lot of wild garlic around there from March.

Just one question, when you go out for walks does Mr G always bugger off like that. If I ever did that to Cal I'd have found broken glass in my cornflakes.?

Yes I always let him go ahead, if danger is lurking he’ll get it first. lol

We didn't go but our friends were soaked first day ,second was better but haven't met up since to find out how it was . They really love old bands here and the tickets often are very expensive . When paul Simon or the Beach boys come on I might buy them .

I can only imagine the size of the pikes over there so maybe that's not a bad thing. I had visions of the hunted eating the hunter.

Still suffering with my cold and my mate who I was in Scotland with called last night. He's still feeling poorly so took a covid test which was positive. I had a negative test last Saturday, and just tested again now and thankfully was negative again.

I know these LFTs aren't that reliable but my symptoms are classic common cold. So I'm comfortable with the tests tbh.

Anyway another lovely day down here. Busy doing my washing so will have a restful day in the sun. Will probably have the neighbours son around tomorrow for a barbie and a few beers.

The first one I landed ,I shouted its a ********* shark ,the mouth is enormous .Now I fish and carry a hammer . We were given a 6.8 kg pike but we don't take any over 4kg because they are the breeding females .
