Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

What I don't get from your posts is risk evaluation ,I am a high risk and on my visit to my doctor yesterday he restated the fact that I should be ultra careful .
The problem for me with your first option is that if I do that and get it wrong then I may not be posting on here any longer .
I have a mathematical brain and no chance is far better than a small chance in dying .
One other point is that I live in the middle of nowhere so it seems I have opted for the hermit choice.
Well I'm a qualified solicitor and my wife is a former health and safety officer so I think we know how to evaluate risk.

But to be honest Blue its not just the evaluation of risk but the balancing of risk.

There is risk everyday when you are crossing the road or driving but do you stop doing either thing to prevent the risk ? No.

Similarly I want my life back to as normal as possible.

I'm fully jabbed and will take risk of contracting covid ( in fact I'm surprised that I haven't had it already).

Many of my fully jabbed friends with health problems have had it and it hasn't affected them.

I still continue to take precautions and obviously don't want to catch it but I don't want it to define my future life.

I think it's partly that Blue but it's much more than that. As you well know, from 1971 until the mid 80s Liverpool were always far better than us and much more dominant than they are now. All my family were reds, my mum and dad and m 3 brothers and 2 of my 3 brother in laws. But i could talk to them all about football. I'm not a hateful person, far from it. But I think I have honestly come to hate Liverpool and the entitled attitude of their fans and the subservience of the media towards them. I think it was made worse by the VVD/Pickford episode last year. It isn't something that sits easy with me I can tell you as it flies completely against my character.
I agree on all the bad points and the fact that so many so called supporters have never seen the ground other than on TV ,I know that it is the power of TV but why they feel above others is wrong .
As a fact I hate anyone thinking they are better than another no matter what the subject/topic . So many things in life are down to luck so I don't understand that side of others. If they had been born under different circumstances then their lives would be so different .

Whilst I liked your comments it doesn't mean I agree ,you have the right to your opinion and me mine .
If it is in my mind life threatening then that is what I will do .My wife also has health issues so I am thinking of her too.
The two options you provided were actually a bit naive as life isn't always so simple .
I live in a lovely place with my best friend and plenty of things I love doing all here with me .I need to shop but I don't need to move from here otherwise ,I can "play " in my garage /workshop ,I can walk and fish to my hearts content and I can forage in season .
I don't want to club it or dine out as we cook all our food ourselves .
But most of all I don't see the risk as being in my favour ,for all your friends who have contracted the virus and lived there are many that have died ,I don't want to be one of them .
I do understand your side and the risk evaluation .It is just the same with your diet and mine we are different there too. The world would be boring if we all felt the same and took the same risks .

Up at 5.30 to drive to the airport to fly to Goodison. Looking forward to it now .
Hopefully get the win !
How exciting, have a great time and say hello to Yerry

Worked from home at my Dad's today. Which I consider to be the true working from home - in my home city! Dad bought us a Tesco meal deal for two for ta and did the cooking - refused to let me help. I'm going to go Allerton cemetery with him tomorrow to visit Mum's grave. He goes Every Wednesday, tidies it up a bit and takes new flowers for her. I haven't been for ages so it will be nice to do that with him. Then it's back to Durham to stress about the Everton match.
That’s nice for you to go with your dad to visit your mum’s grave, hopefully the day is beautiful and brightens your visit! Xx

Good morning all on this clear and beautiful day here in Finland. I hope all wake anew this morning full of the joys of spring and that it continues until midnight at least . We had +15° yesterday so that is it spring is here and will be finished sometime next week!
We have had a deceit of lapwings around for the last couple of days and hundreds of Canada geese dropping in for a brief respite .
A birds life is very hard ,we have wagtails that go as far as Africa and then get back here to breed ,feeding the chicks all day long ,every day to beef them up for the trip and then off again . No weekends off and all the time looking over their shoulders for predators ,we have it easy ! COYB
I am sure spring must be gorgeous in your area. Does your day begins cold and then warms up? Here in Asheville the afternoons feel like it is spring, the mornings like still is winter. This morning when I went to the gym the temperature was zero ?

I tell my daughter all the time, compared to animals, and even to other humans, we have an easy life, and should be grateful for it.

I have had a burgundy for the last 14 years, it is very definitely not red and woe betide anyone who suggests it is.
Pic and we won’t dare to suggest any different ;) lol

Ugly. I’m definitely not an American car fan.

Gorgeous day here in West Lancs.

Did a lot of gardening in the past few days and garden is starting to come into bloom. Will post a photo later.

However that has aggravated my achliilies injury so no ping pong for a while.

Been reading a few books recently , anyone come across Mark Giminez like his style. Courtroom dramas , no idea why I should find that interesting!

Rosie is now house trained , which is good , but started to dig up the garden , which isn't. However overall she is a sweet affectionate little dog who I fear won't be little for very long.

Not posted much in a while , I guess we all go through phases. This one has coincided with all the crap stuff going on in the world.

Petrified about tonight's game but fingers crossed 3 points would see us take a bitg step to safety. Sadly I can't see anything other than a thrashing on Sunday.

Lesson for the day , if you are going to lie , keep repeating the same lie time after time and eventually you can ( almost honestly ) say you thought what you were saying was true. What a country we've become to be led by a serial liar without a shred of integrity or honour. And the worst thing is if there was an election tomorrow enough idiots would vote for him for another 5 years. Makes me despair.
I have been doing lots of gardening at my mom’s which means I have been neglecting mine but this weekend I’m going to spend some time doing some planting. I love gardening but is an activity that can be so hard on the body, but so good for the soul. I hope your achliilies begins feeling better soon so you can return to your table tennis.

How nice Rosie is now house trained but I feel your pain with the digging, we are having the same issues with our new kitten.

Btw, those pics of your garden are beautiful, thanks for sharing them.

My wife’s car is now white and red.
She is a United fan really though, so I can’t really say anything !
She has a good excuse though ?

Welcome to more ramblings with Gwladyslol. Went to Sawtry this afternoon, village where Mr G. was born. Walked through the woods, the bluebells not quite in full bloom but still looked lovely. Think the purple flower is an early flowering purple orchid. The view from the top of the hill is looking towards the A1. If you zoom in you can just make out two lorries travelling South.View attachment 162800View attachment 162801View attachment 162798View attachment 162799
I also love your pics @Gwladysover The woods around Mr. G’s village of birth are so pretty. It is so rewarding to go on walks throughout the spring time and see all the flowerings happening.

All the Oasis stuff on BBC over the weekend has made Karl prominent in my thoughts. A very brave man.

@Gwladysover loved the photos. Bluebells are lovely but they are a job clearing up all their stalks once their time is over. Clearing the beds for planting the summer plants is a chore for me I admit- love a nice garden but not so much the maintenance of it.

@peteblue curious as to the song choice? What inspired that?
Karl was such a brave man, I miss him!

16 Sass

It was a 6 hour op Anje. Me and Mrs B had to go and find something to do in central London to kill time. It was the longest 6 hours of my life.

The nurses on the ward were absolutely fantastic. Such lovely, caring people and so good at what they do.
I remember now you mentioning her turning 16 a while back. I am sure that experience most have made her stronger than many kids her age. But I can imagine how scary it must have been for your and your wife having to deal with her surgery.

Lovely song, share more. A good coffee/tea house needs go music to lighten the mood.

8am and I now have a vision for the rest of the day?
Now let me traumatize you for the rest of the week ?

I had exactly the same thoughts and tried to dismiss them ASAP. However the thought of Sassy and handcuffs remains with me for some strange reason.
lol
It must be because just like my whip, I love my handcuffs too lol

Somebody needs to tell her that they don't carry whips over here.?
Somebody need to tell you that I also have handcuffs, do you carry those over there :p

If I had not pursue a career in education, after anthropologist and marine biologist, I think my next career option would have been dominatrix ?? lol
