My dad was a POW in Japan for 3 1/2 years, some of the stories he told me in the latter stages of his life were horrific
He did live till the age of 83, I think he was one of the 40 out of 260 that were captured left the camp alive.

My step dad was in Burma and would never eat a curry until his dying days .We have no idea ,of course this Covid is terrible but the wars were just unfathomable ,you can put them down to ego ,racism or whatever but the truh is they were simply wrong .

add in the Norwegians;Dutch and Swedes for good measure and further back Portugese and Spanish . I remeber they said Charles only wanted Diana to open the blood line out a bit .Too many idiots in the families.

Might even get to see Caroline Quentin or Roger Taylor if he's down here as it's their local. Then in the evening they've invited me around to their house for steaks and a few drinks. He's also asked if I want to come along to a darts evening next week. It's being hosted by his Rotary club and he's asked me a couple of times but I've never really felt up to it. But this seems like it should be fun and i do need to get out more so I've said I'll go. Think it's called moving on.

Well done Fred ,no one is suggesting any more than that ,move on and I am sure Cal would approve .From what you have posted she was a lovely wife to you and she I am sure wouldn't want you to live a solitary miserable life at all .
I think you are lucky to have those neighbours but I am also sure they are happy too.Yes I would love those starters but I will let you off .

I'm not a big football fan mainly because it has IMHO become so boring to watch but that was a great first half display tonight. I've always believed the direct ball into the full forward and then play off him is the only way to play so I loved watching that tonight. Congrats on the win, the lad playing full forward looks special as well

We have the forwards to rival anyone now and totally agree that the direct ball is the way to play football.
