Sounds like a great itinerary- I would have loved to have seen St Petersburg

St Petersburg was wonderful and we spent about four hours in the Hermitage Museum, a spectacular place as was the whole city.

One of my vivid memories was buying a T-Shirt with Putin’s face and some Russian writing on it for one of our sones. ( this was 2018/19 ish) I asked the young girl what the writing meant : “ The most Honest man in the world” was her reply . I burst out laughing thinking it was a joke or a parody, she was not amused and said no it is true. Her colleagues were also looking sternly at me now so I quickly excited the shop.

Yes that's true but the splicing of 2 sections 50 minutes apart give more than the impression that he was inciting violence.

I've not heard the whole speech but I would be very surprised if he was as explicit as the BBC made him sound.

I watched CNN that night.He was definitely encouraging them.

BBC has never been a neutral broadcaster but always has had a right wing tinge. In BBC NI there is an unelected individual, a ‘community representative’ who is never off the airwaves. He perpetuates hate and division, like Farage, but is given a weekly platform.

Until relatively recently I think that the BBC has had a deserved reputation for fairness and transparency.
Contrary to you AT I think that a left wing bias is becoming evident.
As y'all know I despise Trump but the editing of his Capitol Hill speech was absolutely disgraceful.

And that sums up how people view the BBC, some think it’s Left wing bias, others Right wing bias . They get a lot of things wrong but most things right as a free to air public broadcaster.

Good morning all on this fine one here if you like grey skies . I hope all are well and had a good night .I have just been out for milk a 12 mile round trip ! Whilst out I listened to the world radio channel we have here ,it was in English .
The main topic was drone delivery of food by a company called Manna ( manna from heaven ?) who are an Irish company operating in three cities Dublin ,Helsinki and I think Dallas .Delivery is for a fee of 1.99€ or £1.50 it arrives at about 15m high and then lowers by biodegradable cord and can deliver fresh eggs or coffee it is that gentle . It uses google maps to locate the phone for delivery .

The editing of the Trump speech was incredibly misguided. Everyone knew the sentiment of his speech and there was no need to frame it as they did.

Very sad to hear as it is when any young person dies- if I can say needlessly .

The BBC has now become the story instead of being the reporters of it.

I maintain it has always had a political direction, influencing its journalism, but now it seems to be a bit of a confused mess. From Gary Lineker to Gaza, it has failed to impress over the last year.
