Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this grey one here .I hope all are well and had a good night's rest . Very nice to hear from @Terrarian but not so nice to hear he isn't on top form .
So we stand 5 points ahead of the bottom four and many points behind Arsenal ,I am interested to see what Dithering Davey does tomorrow surely he must change his formation and/or tactics .
Have a great day all COYB

Good morning all. We had a lovely time last night at our friend's 70th. Im not sure if you remember or if I even posted about it but it was one of my gay friends who became seriously ill while on a tour of India last year. He got bitten by something, the bite became infected, he had to fly home, was in a coma for two weeks, hospital for 16 weeks and was in danger of dying or losing his leg. Fortunately neither event occurred and he's slowly but surely getting better. Anyway last night at the meal he proposed to his partner ( who I worked with and have known for 34 years). They have only been together for 23 years🤣 but my heart melted. It was a beautiful moment.
Other than that we have got Frankie this morning and it's the village firework display tonight. My first parish councillor duty is crowd control. Apparently I may be entrusted with a megaphone- opportunity for a few Up The Workers and Reform Out chants?!🤣
Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, terrible news to wake up to re the stabbings on P’boro to Kings X train yesterday evening. Son works for LNER so it’s a bit close to home metaphorically as well as literally. Anyway not going to dwell on it other than to wish all those affected well and a speedy recovery.
@anjelikaferrett pleased to hear that your friend is making a recovery, albeit slowly. What a lovely moment, I bet there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Did he get down on one knee? Good luck with crowd control and hopefully the megaphone.😂
Lovely morning so we’re off for a walk. Have a good day, all.💙

No he did a little speech thanking everyone for their support over the last year, then read out some of the lyrics to Annie's Song and popped the question
Absolutely shocking news about the train. I did think of ypu last night when I heard about it.

Morning guys, hope all is well. Terrible news again this morning, things are not good at the moment in this country.

Not looking forward to fireworks, I've had Daisy 8 years and up until last year they'd never bothered her, then some very very loud ones went on last year and she bolted, nearly came out of her harness trying to get away.

Moan 2 lol I have a new neighbour and she is a nightmare, I've had to have the council out to clear drains 3 times in the last 2 weeks because she keeps blocking the drain with toilet paper and it spills out onto the street.

Last week, they proper cleaned it with high pressure water and she's blocked it again already, I have pictures, which I take for the council but I'll save you from them, as disgusting as they are. I told the council to speak to her because I think she's a bit thick but they can't have if she has blocked it again already.

I don't post for weeks and then just have a good whinge to you all, sorry

Haha, I often see your burst of posts peppered in various threads and think “ Oh good, Ts back” 🙂

I do drop the odd post but nowhere near as much as I used to. I tend to read more because the negativity and the little factions that have started sniping at each other put me off posting when I don't feel great.

I just don't need it, I struggle enough being positive as it is. Not that it is anyone's job on here to keep me happy though to be fair, it's just how my mind works these days.

Oh I’m in full agreement with you there, the negativity in some threads is off putting. I often find it’s easier to just not bother getting involved rather than getting into a drawn out and negative discussion.

Great to see you post T but I suspect it is more than toilet paper if she has achieved blocking a main drain 3 times ,however it is more important you do what you feel and relective posting is something most of us share with the negativity on some threads .Saying that I am at the moment a bit down with the manager and I feel it could be showing .Stay strong that man .

Evening everyone, I haven’t posted a picture of a church for a while so here’s one I took earlier- St Benedict’s, Glinton. One of only 17 churches in the UK dedicated to the saint. Everyday is a school day!
View attachment 331176
That has me puzzled as I thought they all had saint's names ,explanation please ,great photo once again .
P.S. Arghh now I have read it again ,too early for thinking ! The definite article one could say !
