Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all and a lovely one it is too, decidedly chilly though. Firstly I would like to thank the person who decided to treat the neighbourhood to a firework display at ten past two this morning, so kind. School Halloween disco for grandkid no. 4 today so yesterday we were given a preview of her costume, a Zombie schoolgirl! She’d made it herself with industrial amounts of fake blood on an old school uniform and shredded socks. A far cry from my childhood, the one day in the year when we allowed to play out after dark. No pumpkins then so we had a candle in a hollowed out sugar beet scrumped from the field at the bottom of our road. That field is long gone, under housing and very busy road - that’s progress.
Hope you both had a restful night @blue1948
Safe journey home, glad you had a great time even though you had to go pizzaless @Barnfred 55
@jazzy hope Granny’s care situation is sorted, don’t get me started on the profiteering of so called care companies.
@anjelikaferrett our heating is on too, I’ve sneaked the thermostat up and so far it’s not been noticed!
Have a good day, all.💙
Oh no! I forced him to eat the torched pizza. I covered up the worst bits with coleslaw and just gave him more vino. I don't think that he noticed 😆

I certainly noticed the more vino mate. As you kept bringing out little top up carafes it was hard to keep on top of how much we actually drank. Enough to get me limboing under railway barriers at least.😀

Good morning all on this wet one here . Yes we had a perfect sleep last night and it extended well past my 7am rise ,I ordered a crash hat from China and it came to a village about 7miles away but the boxes were full so they did what you would expect and took it to one 15 miles away ,they did apologise ! So that has been a nice trip out ,I try to take different routes there and back to see more places around here. Safe trip home @Barnfred 55
I hope all had a good night and have a fantastic day today .COYB

Have you become their new manager? I can see you as a Brian Epstein figure guiding them with your knowledge of the music scene and having the added benefit of investment advice. 2 for the price of 1 how could they refuse?
It's amazing what you can glean from the Internet mate. Anyways, I'll refrain from commenting on it any further. I'm sensing I'm becoming a bit of a comedy figure and need to recapture a bit dignity here.

Hope you manage to get your mum sorted mate.

Morning everyone,

Well what can I say ....he comes to the countryside, drinks my best wine , eats my errr delicious pizza and runs off into the sunset dodging the railway barriers as they descended ( so great was his desire to make the train even though he had 3 hours to spare before doors opened at his concert!) yes it can only be Fred. It was fun. Have a safe journey home amigo.

It's absolutely chucking it down today. Sods law as I am going to the Crem at Allerton for a funeral. One of my very best mates mum has passed so although I didn't know her I feel that it's only right to pay my respects and show support for my mate who's a top blue too.

Hardly a happy day as afterwards I will pop in to see another friend who lives off Allerton Rd who is confined to bed with a serious kidney problem.

Well not a great day lined up for me and I'm likely to get drenched too.

Have a lovely day everyone.
Forgot about the funeral today. Hope P sees some improvement soon. Doesn't sound too good.

Well I'm not home home yet but I am in Falmouth having picked up some pastries for the morning and currently enjoying a curry. A naga. Those that know know.😎

Last leg of the journey to come which is a 15 minute taxi journey. I might even have time for a G&T before a good night's sleep in my own bed. There's something comforting and reassuring about your own bed.

Enjoy the weekend everybody. 💙💙

Morning everyone,

AT have a wonderful weekend and bring us 3 points please.

Fred , glad you are safely returned to the bosom of your our bed.

And all my other friends I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Funny old day yesterday. The weather gods played ball and I didn't get drenched at the funeral.

Interesting choice of music though , started with Are you lonesome tonight and ended with Rocking all over the world.

It was a service by a celebrant and mercifully completely different to church services that I've been to.

Also managed to get to see my mate in Allerton albeit for only 5 minutes. He has been in and out of the Royal with kidney problems and boy I was totally unprepared for how he would look. It wasn't pleasant unfortunately.

All in all quite a sad day but finished ok with a couple of pints of Guinness down the cricket club. I bailed out early to enjoy a superb Chinese cooked by Mrs J but the cricket team were only just getting started , good job they've no matches for 6 months!

Have a lovely day everyone.
