Hi folks. I went back to the gym yesterday- first time since I got back from our hols.I just did a bit of cardio and I was absolutely knackered- well out of practice! I'm hoping to reinstate my routine of going every other day.
It's freezing here. The heating is well and truly on. I managed to cut the grass yesterday afternoon before it rained. I'm glad I did because it doesn't seem to have stopped raining since.

Hopefully they can hold off the Swifties for no 1 today. The albums streaming figures at the mid week chart updates were pretty poor. Sales figures were lower than I expected too tbh.

I had totally forgotten about that!! Surprised at the sales figures as the Scythe is getting as much AirPlay as Ophelia to my radio listening ears.

Wet Leg in the live lounge today and I am working. Will have to catch it later on repeat.

I know , should have played Non Stop Erotic Caberet, ran out of time.

Yeah 17k according to midweek figures. They should have done around 11/12k from album shows alone. Plus sold out all limited versions. So unless some hadn't been fed in Swifties streaming figures will overtake it. Streaming figures for The Pyre by Monday were 300 sales. IIRC Prelude did closer to 10k in first week.

Don't think radio plays of Scythe, certainly on BBC, are as high as you think mate. About 30 plays on radio 1 in the 7 weeks since release and similar number on radio 6. And the last 2 singles have had zero radio play, nor any of the other album tracks. In fact promotional work on the new album has been negligible other than their own socials.

It was mate. If it's even comprehensible I think I love them even more. So apologies to the thread in advance. I know I already bore you all to death.😀

Anyway, looking forward to my 9 hour train journey now.

Well what can I say ....he comes to the countryside, drinks my best wine , eats my errr delicious pizza and runs off into the sunset dodging the railway barriers as they descended ( so great was his desire to make the train even though he had 3 hours to spare before doors opened at his concert!) yes it can only be Fred. It was fun. Have a safe journey home amigo.

It's absolutely chucking it down today. Sods law as I am going to the Crem at Allerton for a funeral. One of my very best mates mum has passed so although I didn't know her I feel that it's only right to pay my respects and show support for my mate who's a top blue too.

Hardly a happy day as afterwards I will pop in to see another friend who lives off Allerton Rd who is confined to bed with a serious kidney problem.

Well not a great day lined up for me and I'm likely to get drenched too.

There was a news article from somebody like Music Week that gave a detailed breakdown of the top 3. Can't find it now.😀

The radio plays you can get from Internet. Google Radio 1 playlist and you should get a link to a site called Onlineradiobox. It lists what's been played on radio 1 and other station. If you click on a song it gives stats for radio plays for that song. Enjoy the rabbit hole.
 
Morning all and a lovely one it is too, decidedly chilly though. Firstly I would like to thank the person who decided to treat the neighbourhood to a firework display at ten past two this morning, so kind. School Halloween disco for grandkid no. 4 today so yesterday we were given a preview of her costume, a Zombie schoolgirl! She’d made it herself with industrial amounts of fake blood on an old school uniform and shredded socks. A far cry from my childhood, the one day in the year when we allowed to play out after dark. No pumpkins then so we had a candle in a hollowed out sugar beet scrumped from the field at the bottom of our road. That field is long gone, under housing and very busy road - that’s progress.

@jazzy hope Granny’s care situation is sorted, don’t get me started on the profiteering of so called care companies.
@anjelikaferrett our heating is on too, I’ve sneaked the thermostat up and so far it’s not been noticed!

Have you become their new manager? I can see you as a Brian Epstein figure guiding them with your knowledge of the music scene and having the added benefit of investment advice. 2 for the price of 1 how could they refuse?
