Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I have a matinee concert this week which is a brilliant idea in my opinion. Laura Marling at The Albert Hall in Manchester, I couldn’t have gone to the evening shows without staying over , first of five concerts this month.
Not a concert, but we were supposed to be going to see Chris McCauseland this afternoon at Media City in Salford. It felt like a good time - with time to eat/drink before or after, but have to give it a miss which is a shame. Our son got us the tickets for Christmas and luckily his wife’s cousin is able to use them.

Had to close the pub today. Apparently there is a gypsy/traveller funeral and wake over the next two days in one of the nearby towns. All the pubs in the towns and villages have closed due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’. I know it sounds very unfair but unfortunately painful experience shows that there will inevitably be fights and damage done to anywhere that’s open, and we have a duty of care for our staff and regulars. It’s a terrible state of affairs but even the Police advise closure….,,,
