Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this penultimate day of 2023 .I hope all are well and had a good kip. We are expecting -27° next week so anyone thinking of somewhere to go for a few days are welcome over .
Hope the trip goes well @jazzy if you are sitting there reading these posts .
Sometimes little things change the way you view the world or at least some of it .I have posted that we have friends in Mumbai ,we were on Facebook at Christmas when they announced that they are expecting another baby in May which is a source of great joy for their son who has an app on his phone .
Well this app is for expectant siblings to help them understand as " the baby is 15cm "means nothing to a 5 year old they have compared the baby to a piece of fruit now their baby is a banana and will finish as a water melon -I will never see another pregnant woman in the same light again .
We took this photo after the sauna last night but I forgot to post it ,Have a great day all COYB :-

@blue1948 full itinerary for you mate as requested.

Currently waiting in the lounge at Manchester Airport to board the 11.30 to Barbados where the temp is 30 degrees and full sun.

Will be up in the air for the duration of our game so fingers crossed.

Have a lovely day everyone.
Enjoy the holiday! Barbados is once of my favourite places, and you'll certainly enjoy it if you haven't been before.

Cheers Fred mate have a good one, we do the British NYE here so start at 2pm ring in the bells at 5pm midnight back home, in me pit for 9pm
Have a good one Duc. ;)

I normally open a bottle of bubbly to see in the New Year and will go to bed when it's finished (well it doesn't keep once opened and I hate wastelol). So it's usually about 3 am for me.

Hope you both have a great time…think of all of us shivering and wet people back over here while you enjoy the sun……

PS. For Jazzy, I meant to post this yesterday from my local paper : On this Day in 1903; Jazz pianist Earl Hines , who developed the modern single-finger style, was born in Duquesne , Pennsylvania . .From the Bob Dylannsong “ Duquesne Whistle “ it’s pronounced “ Dukane” !

I used to fly over to Pittsburg every two weeks and pass through Duquesne while crossing the Monongahela river, only ever passed through it though……
