Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Well what a grim afternoon- pouring down and windy here. Not looking forward to going to the game later I think I’d rather be snuggled up at home - but there’s always that chance of missing that once in a season game where we play like Brazil and have an unexpected win, so off I’ll go.
What a nice surprise to pay back your loyalty .

Good morning all on this sunny ,fantastic day here in Hyvinkää ,it is still dark but the house is filled with sunshine .I hope all had as good a kip as I did and have a fine day today . Well it is about time we were flattered by the scoreline .We were the better team and these tactics are certainly working for us .Very nice to see Beto get a goal a bit like the other he got ,we have to play to that strength ,he is a beast when he bears down on goal .I am not sure about Harrison doing enough up front he seems to run out of ideas .I wonder is Onana being saved for the window ? A little more creativity and we will do even better ,oh for James to feed his passes to Beto or Dom.
Have a great day all COYB

Morning all, and as @blue1948 says, so much nicer after an unexpected 3 points. One of the nice surprises for me is how much improved Mykolenko is, and Seamus, bless him, absolutely rolling back the years with his performance. I'm up ridiculously early to go and have my Christmas nails done, then I’m off to son’s to wait for a delivery of his new specs. Then tonight I shall sit down with a nice G and T or similar and watch the game again on Amazon prime.
Have a wonderful Friday everyone 💙

This “ G&T Friday” thing now seems to be catching on with everybody! Meanwhile , in the much less exciting BL household it’s known as “ Double Points Friday” , if you know , you know 😉

Good morning all. I'm off today so I've just watched the match and it was brilliant. I've also watched Sean Dyche's post match interview on the Everton Facebook page. He's so sensible. I'll be disappointed if we don't get something out of the Chelsea game.
We had a lovely meal last night with our friends. If you're ever in the area I can recommend The Old Mill. We've been going there for years and I've never had a bad meal. I'll be going into Durham soon to hopefully finish my Christmas shopping.
Once again the COVID enquiry is compelling viewing. I can't stop watching it.
No disrespect to the G and T lovers but I would rather stick needles in my eyes than drink gin. I may have a mojito Friday later.
Have a lovely day all

I had my first Grandchild last weekend. A boy named Jesse. I've yet to see him as he been back and forth to hospital all week as he had Jaundice, they kept him in a couple of nights under the lamps but let him home last night. He has to go back again today to another blood test which takes 6 hours to see his blood levels so a lot of hanging around for my daughter in law who should be home resting. Hopefully I will get to meet him before he starts school 😆

Oh he's beautiful. Congratulations

Didn't see the game last night but was following it online whilst I watched the progress of our development TT team.

Young , inexperienced and evidently not good enough was the verdict as they ( not Everton!).lost to bottom of the league.

Unbelievable result for the blue boys. Thought we might get a point , then had 2nd thoughts when I saw the midfield but what the hell do I know? I will watch it later.

Finished my Christmas shopping yesterday and treated myself to 15 LPs in the brilliant 2nd hand record shops ( including Fred a couple of Yes albums to complete my research for 17/02/24).

I don't mind a G&T usually before dinner on a cruise but it's down the pub for me and Mrs J tonight and then back to play a couple of my new albums in front of the log fire.

It's going to be an electronic night with Soft Cell and OMD , gotta love the 80s
