Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven


Good morning all on this white day here in Finland .I hope all are well after a good night. It would be nice to hear from @Terrarian and @peteblue if only a nod and a wink .
More problems with the jag means she is getting shelved until the summer ,I bought parts from the UK which took an age to arrive but they weren't urgently needed .
I decided to fit them yesterday and they are the wrong ones ,so whether Ebay will allow a refund or not I don't know but the seller said "oh yes they are the wrong ones and we don't stock the ones you want.If there is anything else we can help you with just ask" despite my car being listed as suitable ,it could make you cry.

Morning all. I was out early with the dog this morning, and it's another pretty cold one. Down Cressington Esplanade, it said -3C, but with the wind it felt worse.

With sleet expected later on, I am going to go straight out after my son's match (luckily 4G today) and get the food shopping done on Allerton Road.

The rest of the day will be with the log-burner I suspect.

Morning everyone

Survived the TT Xmas meal - good Chinese and a few Tigers - but had a terrible night .

Uncontrollable shivers, sore throat even worse and coughing.

Unfortunately I won't go to the dog show tomorrow, it would be crazy to stand outside in the cold all day feeling like this.

I have the pleasure of a fleeting meeting with @anjelikaferrett later but for her own good it will be at arms length.

Forest game later , could cheer me up or finish me off.

Looking forward to it. Hopefully the rescue centre will benefit from The Royal Doulton!🤣
 

Morning all. My Spotify is heavily influenced by my son who shares my account. It was nice to receive a video message on it from the lead singer of Red Rum Club who ended his message by kissing the screen which was a bit startling first thing in the morning. I’m definitely an outlier on here with taste in music - I’m sure you would all cringe at my playlist. I use music to lift my mood and rarely enjoy songs that I think are depressing. I think dancing in the kitchen while I’m cooking is one of my favourite things 😂.
Going up to a local Xmas market today for a couple of hours then back to watch the game. Still waiting for snow…..

That sounds nasty - could it be a different virus on top of the one you’ve had. If shivering carries on I would consider going to your GP. I know it’s like getting blood out of a stone getting antibiotics these days but it sounds worth checking out. Hope your family also feel better soon

Yes it's a different virus I think. I was virtually over the first one then all.3 of us went down with this.
 
Morning all , bright but very cold here having dipped to about -7c in the night. I’m steeling myself up to go running in the footsteps of Kings this afternoon, well one King anyway. It’s the North Cross Country Championship at Gordonstoun this afternoon , I’m sure they had Charles running round the grounds a few times in his days there. Forecast is for” -3 , feels like -5c “ I can’t say I’m looking forward to it too much , but has to be done 🤷‍♂️🙂. At least watching Everton later should be easier !
