Did you get to BMD ? Awesome isn't it?We loved it, such a friendly welcoming place as always.
Brilliant. So glad you're having a great timeStill having a really good time. Weather has been much better than expected, this morning being the exception, and the sea surprisingly calm. Norway is very beautiful.
Bumped into an old workmate on here a couple of nights ago. I worked with her over 40 years ago for about 5 years. Later on when I'd started courting Cal we'd often go out in foursomes together as it turned out she'd gone to school with Cal. Drifted apart when she started a family ( which happened with all our friends tbf) and I haven't seen them since. Turns out that was over 30 years ago as her eldest is now 31.
As is always the case, when you have once been good friends with somebody you carry on where you left off, well apart from the fact that she didn't recognise me at first![]()
Morning G and everyone. I'm not too bad apart from the usual. Not overly downhearted about a defeat as at least we looked like a side than can get results but if any game shouted we need a forward, it was this one Mr Thelwell.Morning all, bit breezy here again today. It’s that time of year once again, sitting watching the telly with one eye on the carpet in case of sudden movement The spider season started yesterday. There was a massive one on the landing last night, not that I saw it, I was just told best not go upstairs yet, until it was sorted. I know you’re not supposed to kill them but one of us has to go…
How’s the weekend home alone been, @Val P are you looking forward to the rovers‘ return?
Hope you are okay @Terrarian .
Have a good day, all.![]()
I don't think think the sun can venture this far North, easily one of the wettest coldest summers I can remember.Still having a really good time. Weather has been much better than expected, this morning being the exception, and the sea surprisingly calm. Norway is very beautiful.

We passed into the Arctic Circle yesterday afternoon and we're probably getting warmer weather than CumbriaI don't think think the sun can venture this far North, easily one of the wettest coldest summers I can remember.
It was sunny in April and has done pretty much nothing but rain since. Got very wet this morning. Can't get my jackets dry between walks lolWe passed into the Arctic Circle yesterday afternoon and we're probably getting warmer weather than Cumbria
I'm still walking around in shorts and T shirt but that's normal for me.
Having a really good time thanks T. Most people up for a gab which is good. Chatted to an older Indian lady after breakfast today who was giving me a few tips and recipes for Indian rice. Couple of nights ago there was a Chinese couple on our dinner table and they were a scream. They were both widowed and I asked him how long they'd been together. Oh we're just friends he says. The lady, who obviously is able to have a conversation with one person whilst listening to another, pipes up, Oh I'm still on market, and then winks. I nearly crapped myselfIt was sunny in April and has done pretty much nothing but rain since. Got very wet this morning. Can't get my jackets dry between walks lol
Hope you're having a good time Freddo.
You are officially the unluckiest person in the world T.Did I tell you what a nightmare I had on shopping day? As some will know I have my shopping delivered once a month. On Friday I was waiting for it too come, I have a flexi saver slot and usually order between 9am-1pm, they let me know it'd be there between 10-11am.
So got myself ready, bags ready to go Daisy stuck in the front room, with her pen blocking her getting out, they turned up and I put my latch on and opened the door to the flats for them, before I could turn around the wind blew my door shut and locked me out. I didn't have my phone or keys or anything so couldn't contact my sister who has spares.
The Tesco lads and myself tried to bash the door in but no luck, so I asked my neighbour if I could leave my shopping at hers while I ran to my sisters, in my bloody flip flops on of all things. She said she could fit the ice-cream in hers lol By this point I am in full panic mode and not thinking clearly, a nice side effect of my personality disorders. All we could hear was Daisy crying lol
Luckily my elderly neighbour remained calm and I suddenly remembered I had actually opened my bedroom window that morning, very rarely do this, so I'll take that bit of luck. I could reach the top lever on the big window but not the bottom, thankfully my still calm neighbour suggests a mop handle, we'd tried coat hangers and I managed to get in eventually, hurt my bloody ribs though.
Sorry for long post, hope it gives you a giggle lol
I don't do things by half like Freddo lol I actually put the latch on which is the biggest pain in the arse, next month i will latch on and keys in pocket until shopping inside lolYou are officially the unluckiest person in the world T.
I sympathise T. I had a similar experience a few years ago whilst minding my grandson and dog. I answered the front door to take a delivery leaving Harry, who was about two at the time, watching the telly. The dog came to the door and Harry noticing this helpfully shut the door to stop the dog escaping, it wouldn’t have mattered if he had, Louis was the most lethargic dog that ever lived and wouldn’t have gone far. I was now locked out and Harry not tall enough to reach the latch. Attempts by the delivery man to break in proved fruitless so he rang several locksmiths before he found one who could come at short notice. Half an hour later and £65 poorer and I was back in the house. That child still owes me. lolDid I tell you what a nightmare I had on shopping day?
