Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hello everybody. It was back to work today so spent most of the day catching up on stuff that had come in last week. Then went to the gym and now cooking tea. Salmon, baby potatoes and peas.
Not much else to report. I'm relatively OK with Dyche. He seems like a decent bloke and his first interview said all the right things. He's got a massive task on his hands though.

St Brigid’s Eve tonight and don’t forget to put your Bradog Bride outside.

Irish legend has it that Brigid walks the Earth on the 31st and will bless the scarf/blanket you have left outside. A sure fire cure for a sore head or throat.

An Everton scarf now wafting on the washing line as my insurance policy.

Hold on I’m doing the Bingo calling on the 31st, is that Brigid playing or not…..£3 a ticket…..

Pardon my ignorance but how unusual is it for you to get snow? Pleased to hear Rio is doing well,
Is Jeffrey an e-scapegoat? I’ll get my coat. lol
Las Vegas gets a decent snow every few years. I live about 1000ft higher than the Strip, so usually I have a greater chance of it snowing than lower areas of the Las Vegas valley. Sometimes the Strip will get snow, but I won't get any at my house. It just depends on how the storm goes across the valley.

The last time my house received about 3-4 inches was 5 years ago. That is quite a lot and the kids had fun making snowmen. My house gets a light dusting of snow every couple of years.

Thank you, Rio is doing great! :)

Morning all. Another bright day here. Bit of a disappointment on the trip to town yesterday. We went to have a coffee at the cafe in the cathedral precincts only to find that it had closed down a couple of weeks ago. It was one of very few independent cafes and in such beautiful surroundings, so sad. Mr G. has just announced that it is the perfect time to start clearing the garage which along with the car houses wood, tins of paint and other bits and pieces he has collected for over 40 years which have never “come in handy”. It should keep him busy. lol Have a good day, all.?

Morning all. It has occurred to me that I would normally be glued to the telly on transfer deadline day, but I haven't looked once so far and have very little inclination to either. I did take a peek at the transfer thread earlier but came out again after reading about 5 posts and I realised just how little interest I have in anything Everton related. Even though I quite like the guy, I would normally be outraged by the appointment of a manager like Sean Dyche, simply because his philosophy and managerial style is a million miles from where I would want Everton to be. But I literally felt nothing, neither angst, anger nor pleasure. I think I may have done too good a job at putting up the barriers. :(

Just been up to the local shop to pick up some fresh bread which get's delivered on a Tuesday. Had a nice surprise at the checkout when the owner said he'd got a batch of Treen (one of the local Independent brewers) Classic beers which had reached their use by date, and would I want any. How much?, I enquired, thinking he was going to say half price or something like that. Free he said. Now to anybody who knows me that's a bit of a silly question. So he gave me 6 500ml bottles. It's good stuff too, not what I'd usually buy myself as I like the stout that they do, but still good stuff all the same.

I do buy quite a few local beers from there so it's nice to be recognised for that. ;)
