Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning guys. Bit of a hangover from G&T Saturday but not too bad. I have more of a hangover from that dismal England performance. Can't say I'm surprised though as I thought the praise of the Iran performance was way over the top as I thught they were very sloppy in that game, just happened to score every time they had a decent attack. They won't get past the quarters.

Posh sausage butties for lunch and making my spicy chicken fried rice for tea. Juat about to do my betting. Not been very successful lately so here's hoping for a bit more luck today.

Rice is my go to carb but I've never taken to rice pudding. My old dad used to love it, especially with a browned skin and a dollop of strawberry jam.

Not a risotto fan either but love rice in any other form.
Heavenly. On a cold evening, I love some rice pudding and jam after having my tea.
They are a really friendly lot, just very proud and protective of their heritage.
As they should be. Like other parts of the UK, culture and heritage often are the elements that add that extra bit, which makes them special. It draws people in.

Here, you have Liverpool and St. Helens a mere few miles away from each other, but they're like chalk and cheese. It's the culture and heritage which does it.

Without it, they'd be souless, like places such as Warrington et al.

You could say Northern soulless. :)

Labelling someone as being from St Helen’s is an insult on here ?.

I have seen it many times from the air (as the rugby ground is so easy to pick out) but never had the pleasure of boots on the ground.

In most ways, it's a fair insult: it's a pretty strange place. Nevertheless, I've a few good friends from there and worked a bit there, so I'm more open to the place.

I wouldn't go as far as recommending it. Still, it's miles ahead of places like Warrington or countless over towns or villages across the country that lack any character.

I was invited back to a girl’s house in Warrington many years ago but politely declined. There endeth my first hand knowledge of the place lol

We are the same with risotto but rice pudding uses a different short grain rice ,may be it is better for a dessert .Missed the G&T post !
