Morning all, early sun has turned to cloud and yet more rain forecast, could have done with some of this during the drought. Am enjoying the World Cup more than I thought, and with all the rain I have a good excuse for sitting indoors and watching the football in the daytime. lol Congrats on your reward @anjelikaferrett, is everything okay @Barnfred 55, missed you recently. @blue1948 hope you got all the shopping, if you did well perhaps Mrs B. will let you keep the change! Sorry not posted much lately. There were some very sad posts at the start of the week and I always take it particularly hard when you hear of young people passing unexpectedly. You feel you should be saying something, then don't know what to say and end up saying nothing, then feeling guilty because you said nothing. Then end up staying away. It's stupid I know.

Anyway I'm absolutely fine in myself. Apart from having another hangover because I had the neighbours around last night. Curry followed by film. Weather is dreadful down here. Very stormy so watching quite a bit of the footy. Can't say I've been overly impressed so far.

Have a good day everybody. Was going to have salmon for lunch but can't face it so about to make myself a bacon butty. Sorry H.

Know what you mean regarding saying the right thing, so difficult to find the right words (if indeed there are any) without sounding trite. Good to hear that you are okay and as to the bacon butty - you’re forgiven. lol

Good afternoon all. It has been torrential rain for about an hour here but sun has just come out. The light is amazing - sort of yellow against the grey clouds. I need to be some sort of Turner like painter to capture it. Anyway here's a couple of photos.

Good morning all on this dark and cold day here in Finalnd ,I hope all are well and had a great night .Bittersweet to watch brazil's highlights ,what a cracker from Ritchie .Not much to report fromus today except I am cooking our "Little Xmas " meat ,which is a traditional ham done in the oven then spread with mustard and covered in readcrumbs before being crusted in the oven .We serve it with mashed potatoes ,mashed swede and garden peas . I am not sure If I have mentioned it before but we have two xmas the main one and a little one for Santaand the elves just before they gets really busy packing the pressies and he is off on his long trip Have a great day all.

Morning all and a beautiful day here for a change. So pleased for Richy last night but as you say @blue1948 , bittersweet, thinking what might have been If he’d still been ours. I’m going to watch the Wales game this morning with the sound down, some of the commentary is really getting on my wick. If only there was a way to just watch the game without all the wittering.

Little xmas ham is out of the oven .It tastes lobely hot or cold. We put conac mustard on a slice and serve oit on a bread that is just for this purpose ,dark and sweet but not very sweet ,still a savoury bread .

Calm between the storms today so joined the neighbours taking the dogs for a walk at Chapel Porth beach on the North Coast. Fantastic 12 foot surf. Here's some pics.
