Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

We're going next Friday to our GPs. They are doing both at the same time, I believe it's one in each arm.

The neighbours will be feeling like pin cushions. They are going on a cruise in January for her 60th, and will be visiting Namibia which requires a number of injections such as yellow fever.

Feeling much better today and looking forward to a day's racing and G&T Saturday later on. May even keep an eye on the score too. Or maybe not. lol Just nipping out now to restock on my posh sausages. I'm also going to be having another go at the penne arrabiata for tea with a couple of adjustments from my first effort. I mean it was nice, but I'm sure I can do better. I'm becoming a bit of a food snob aren't I.lol
Photo of the G&T with a full description of the gin ,good luck on the gee gees and yes you are !

Just going to be bog standard G&T today Blue. Sorry to disappoint.

I opened a cheap bottle of tonic on Thursday when the neighbours were around. She drowns her gin in tonic and fevertree is wasted on her. Don't like waste so I'll finish off the cheap tonic and just have Bombay with it.

How times have changed. Bombay used to be our posh gin and now it's my glugging one. Maybe I've become a gin snob too lol

Bombay is much nicer to look at than it is to drink. I really don’t like gin but I wanted to try that so much as it looks beautiful. Finally did so on a flight to Spain and disappointing doesn’t cover it (n)

Spirits aren’t really my thing although I do like an occasional whiskey.

Irish of course.

There isn't much I don't drink. Don't like weak beer. Or sweet sherry. Or that yellow crap made with eggs. Anything else goes.

A little break from Everton will do us all the world of good now. It has all gotten very stressful again.
Not even looked at the score mate and don't want to know. Looked in the match thread just before half time after my racing finished, and that finished me off.

Just relaxing with said G&T listening to a music play (The bends is on right now) then I'm going to pour myself another and gave it when I'm cooking my pasta tea. Then a night in front of the telly.

Give me a weaker beer than a Stella any day of the week. I was very pleased to see Goodison get Carling on tap.

We discovered Duvel beer in Liverpool on a stag and we still know it as ‘couple of Duvel then time for the duvet’. This reminds me of an anecdote. Often told that Liverpool is the place to go meet people that you haven’t seen in years (as full of Irish) on lads trips over we used to test this. Standing across the road from the Adelphi we would see how long it took us to see someone we knew that we hadn’t travelled over with. On average it was 6 mins until we saw a familiar face lol

I wish I liked weak beer mate. Its a nightmare when you go on a bender. Don't do them too often these days luckily. 8 or more pints of 5%+ ale is hard going. ?

Currently watching Arctic Monkeys with Jules Holland and a gaelic match on TV at 7.15 will do me nicely. Couple of stout, fire lit and a chicken burger for tea ?

Have you ever had Zoco( Pacharan ) it is sloe - gin - made with Spanish brandy instead ?

So sloe brandy. Sounds right out of Letitia's recipe book?

I've tried cherry brandy once and wasn't a fan. If it was the only bottle left at a party I'd probably neck it though. Back when I was a teenager that was usually the Harvey's Bristol Cream ?

Out tomorrow and grab yourself some sloes. Simple to make your own.
Try hawthorn in whiskey or bourbon using the same method if you want to branch out.
