Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Mate, what Daisy get's upto nobody would blame you if you were psychotic. :p

Seriously though, let's hope this medication has a positive effect on your well being and allows you to get back to living a more normal life again. Do the doctors think it will do anything to alleviate the physical pain you're suffering?
No it won't have any effect on that. It may inadvertently help, if it is designed to relax me, it can make you groggy so maybe it will help, I will be keeping an eye on it. Anything that can reduce the co-codamol use is welcome, pity it's more pharma mind.

Anyone an expert with car key fobs ? My car hasn't been recognising my one for a few days so I changed the battery and it still didn't work so I checked the "cell by date" and it was 2007 .I am not a hoarder ;)
Try YouTube put your car model in - my old Astra's fobs were forever breaking .....so cheaply made .... I ended up with a folded piece of cardboard inside to make the battery make a good connection for it to work ......

Pleased to hear that you are good to go and hoping that the medication works for you. I had talking therapy group sessions for my anxiety and although I was sceptical about a) my need for them and b) their effectiveness I was wrong on both counts, they were really good.
That's good to know, I've put myself through therapy a few times with no success but that was before I was diagnosed and this time it will be tailored for my conditions. Fingers crossed.

When we first bought our house in 91 Trick or Treat was a relatively new thing. Cal bought a load of sweetie things for the kids and was really looking forward to it. Anyway, the first knock on the door turned out to be a gang of youths, around 14/15. They weren't interested in sweets and just wanted cash, and got quite verbally abusive when Cal wouldn't give them any. So she shut the door on them and didn't open it again all night. The next day we discovered that somebody had trampled all over a new Flame of the Forest shrub we'd recently planted. So after that we always went out for a meal on Halloween, either straight from work or sometimes we'd go home and get ready in the dark. the house would be in total blackout. That tradition continued for nearly 30 years until we moved down here.

Cornwall is completely different to Liverpool; we may as well be on a different planet at times. Kids (even the youths) down here are so well behaved and quite sweet really. So Cal decided to totally embrace Halloween again and bought in loads of different treats. Sadly, nobody knocked on our door. We found out soon afterwards that the kids only visit the houses that are "open for business" and displayed pumpkins and other paraphernalia. So I think she was planning on doing something the following year, but sadly covid put a stop to that.

I'll be sitting in tonight watching some or other series on telly, safe in the knowledge that I won't be getting kids hammering at my door all night. Bah humbug. lol
Years back we had some teenagers knock on the door who got a bit upset when we said it wasn’t Halloween it was only the 30th. We went out on Halloween and returned to find eggs and flour through the letterbox, often wondered whether it was the same gang. They came back the next week, Penny for the guy, they didn’t have a guy . I worried that we would end up with a firework through the letterbox so for a couple of weeks we had a bucket of water in the porch. lol

The night before Halloween is Mischief night H. In Liverpool that usually involved throwing bricks at buses. Some bus routes used to stop after 5pm on Mischief night. Seriously.

I am good to go, start my medication tomorrow when I pick it up. Have to then go back in 3 months for the ecg and bloods again. I am waiting for an appointment for talking therapy. Apparently I have had an extra personality disorder thrown in on top, so I have a mix of 3 now.

Thankfully, I can take the meds in one go at night, rather than twice a day, so hopefully Daisy will not notice any difference. I'm going on anti-psychotic meds but I'm not psychotic, they use them as a mood stabiliser.

That's that done. Have a good day all.
I'm glad your appt went so well! Hope the changes they made will help you a lot! Sending hopeful prayers your way :)

Good luck. In the words of the song - things can only get better!
